Holidays are a little different around here. . .

As if there wasn't enough to love about the South already, try to grasp this concept:

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr Day. It is also General Lee Day.

Yep. They combine the two around here. Seems to me they would cancel each other out, but somehow it wound up on the school holiday calendar as such. I guess you're supposed to choose which one to celebrate, and you can pretend the other person didn't do anything that affected America.

that is a little too much. Another benefit of having power within individual states I guess! gotta love Southern culture. :)

Lee vs. Martin Luther...hmmm -- that is a toss up. How do people ever pick a side?

You should have introduced me to your blog sooner. Of all the ironic things. :) I guess I don't know how to search for people's blogs on here if you've had this for a while. I thought I checked when you first commented on mine but i should have put more effort into it obviously. :)
