"Did you look for them?" I asked.
"Yes."
"Did you look by the couch? In the hallway with all the other shoes? Upstairs in the closet?"
"Yes. Yes. Yes. I can't find them anywhere."
Same story again today. Finally I put down my book and said I would look for them because I love Todd so much.
I scanned the floor in the living room. No slippers. Not even under the coffee table. I looked in the hallway, in the bathroom, in the laundry room. No slippers. I went upstairs and checked in the second bedroom first, because it really was possible he took them off in there and forgot about them. No slippers. I went in our room and looked behind the door, under the bed. No slippers.
Guess where I found them? In the closet, with all his other shoes.
I brought them downstairs and gave them to Todd, who asked, "Where did you find them?" I gave him a kiss and told him, "Thank you for making me feel like I have a kid. They were in the closet."

In my defense, I have been waking up all this week at 4am; sleep deprivation had muddled my mind.
that is just too perfect. Jon is the same way---with EVERYTHING!!
Joe does that all the time. The best was the time he was looking for the cinnamon. He was looking on the bottom shelf of the spice cabinet and it was on the 2nd to the bottom shelf. RIGHT in front of his eyes, but he still couldn't see it!! You've inspired me to be a little more patient with him. Thanks!
Love it!
hahaha,... Dan has been looking for his leather gloves for the last 4 days. I asked him if he looked on the chair where his coat was and he said yes. Well I guess I didn't convey the fact that I had moved everything on the chair that day earlier and that I thought he should check underneath everything because now we're two days later and he still doesn't know where they are and I still think they're on the chair. I will have to look tonight when I get home. I bet they're there. Just deeper underneath everything than he's expecting.
