(42nd Annual)
Mind you, this was not for the faint of heart, viewer discretion is advised. While the live 'rattlers were the main attraction, there was plenty more seein' to be done: Dixie flag t-shirts, armed armadillos, a flashback to the 80's for some hair-bows (on sale!!), and a quick interview with some of the local folk. Oh, and of course we picked us up some snake meat. Hope you all enjoy this as much as we did. Truly a once in a lifetime event......

I am so glad you are blogging so that the rest of us get to share your awesome memories. These videos are droll. Keep 'em comin'!
OH MY GOSH! You truly are taking in the local life - who would have thought there was even such a thing as a rattle snake rodeo!? You guys are amazing!
Did I hear an accent on Todd there for a second??? I have heard that snake meat is supposed to be very good.
Too fun! I'm still jealous of your adventures. We don't have anything cool like Rattlesnake Rodeos here!
p.s. Angie you have to get me one of those bows!!!!!
You guys are AWESOME.
You are going to go back to CA and not be nearly as entertained! That is a crack up...I loved that you took pictures of people with sweet hair styles and clothes, too!
I dare you to buy AND wear one of those bows!
It was fun to see you guys on the video.
So this doesn't apply to this posting, but to one prior... I went to a wedding reception tonight for 2 friends. While the couple was dancing and we were trying to sneak out, the song that started playing was indeed 'Love of a Lifetime.' Because I sometimes read your funny postings to my roommates, one pointed out which song it was (she recognized the song way before I did). I thought of you.
my favorite was the guy saying "cuz they're cold-blooded reptiles...are you gonna bite this guy back there?" what!?! hee, hee. i love it...this reminded me of our time at the rodeo, but we didn't get to see any hair bows!
wow,.. that wouldn't even tempt me. haha. you're so hot in that pic. :) look at your cute smile after tasting that rattler,..:)
You guys are incredible! I can't believe you really ate the snake meat! Love ya!

seriously... you guys are not going to have as much fun here in CA.
Okay, what I want to know is, WHO is holding the rattler? I guess the first time I looked at this blog I imagined it was a local guy at the rodeo, maybe someone who owned the snake. But . . . could it be Todd's hand?
