Hazel seemed to adore it all, from the bubble-blowing pirates on the boardwalk to the "boo's" everyone was walking around in (boots), but especially she adored this live owl we discovered sitting on the ground in one of the booths:
My favorite part was when I overheard a piratess on her cell phone, saying, "There's a lot of skanky pirates here, and I'm more of a Renaissance pirate." I ran and told Todd and we laughed and laughed, and thought about taking comparison pictures, but decided a picture of a skanky pirate (of which there were many to choose from) might be a bit too scandalous for such a family-centered blog as mine.
The biggest disappointment was that they were having a nautical cannon ball fight, but not until two and a half hours after we had to leave. I would have loved to have seen that! Maybe next year...

So I saw someone that you might know this weekend, he/she may have told you about it and/or sent you a picture.
And thank you for keeping your blog family-friendly :)
Fun! We went to Pirate Island Pizza last night with Emily and Jake, I thought that was cool, until I read this post. :)
SO MUCH FUN! Where do they hold it? HOnestly, I am sad that we moved before the pirates cane to town!
