Born at 10:36 am Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
9 pounds 9 ounces
21 1/2 inches long
I spent all night Sunday and all day Monday having irregular contractions. We went into the hospital Monday night and had nurses telling me I probably wasn't really in labor and should go back home until my contractions were coming more regularly and I was no longer smiling and friendly. Boy, did I want to shove it in their faces when a doctor checked me and I was dilated to a seven!
I got an epidural around midnight, and everyone thought we'd have a baby in a few hours. Not so. I stalled at that darn seven for a few more hours until they broke my water at 3:30. Even still, I progressed slowly. It was 10 am before I was checked and at a 10. Fifteen minutes later, I was pushing, and 20 minutes after that we had our little man!
Overall, it was (incredibly) longer than my 22 hour labor with Hazel, but much easier. And I would never survive without an epidural.

hooray for pics! he looks like a little man in the 2nd one. i've heard that you need to give hazel about 75% of your attention right now (when not tending to jack) to make up for her feeling displaced. good luck and can't wait to bring you dinner and meet him!
Congrats! He looks darling. I'm sure Hazel is going to love being a big sister once she gets more used to it!
You rock!! good luck with the family of four. The pics are great, and hopefully the naps go back to normal!
Good luck adjusting! Congrats on baby Jack!
What a big, beautiful boy! I am thrilled for all of you.
Congratulations! I think he looks just like you, Angie-- am I right, or am I way off?
Hazel will get over it, she just needs an adjustment period. Do you have any family out to help you right now?
Yeah, I've been waiting for pictures! He's adorable and you look great.
I wish I had some magic trick to share that helped Macey adjust. But, she was pretty crazy those first few months. We just tried to get her involved, read lots of books while Mies was nursing, and just tried to make sure she knew she was still loved.
I've pretty much forgotten about those days with Macey, until someone reminds me. If you want to hear my horror stories just call and maybe, if you're lucky, Hazel won't seem so bad. :)
Good luck. I promise it will get better.
oh congratulations dear angie! I am so excited for you two to start a whole new adventure with not one but two beautiful children!
Angie! We are soooo behind in the blog world - I can't believe we missed your news until now! CONGRATS! He is so darling and Travis said he already looks "manly". I LOVE that family pic at the end and you ALL look so great! Glad to hear he's finally here safe & sound! Also, LOVE the name - that was our #2 pick for Troy's name (family names won out). We should get these little boys together so they can start a club! Miss you~
I love Hazel's eyes in the last pic--like, "What the heck is going on here?"
Love you. Glad he's here. Hope we get to meet him sometime. :)
Jack is adorable! Congrats to all of you!
With Ruby, I had to come up with a few things that were just for her. Intro to Disney movies...Also, she may or may not have ingested a bit more candy for the first few months. However, we were in the middle of a move, so EVERYTHING was different-- which strangely helped her adjust to a new baby. You guys look great! Hope that everything is well and Hazel is enjoying her new role.
he's handsome--did you name him after jack bower?
Congrats Ang! We are so happy for you!
Yay!! Jack is SO sweet, and what an awesome family you guys make! We love you guys and can't wait to see you sometime!
Crap I missed it! he's beautiful Angie! Congratulations Bonners! I'm sorry I've been a super slacker. I'll try to do better. Love the pictures and updates I'll have to go finish catching up. see ya!
