"It's a 3T shirt, not a dress."
"Then why does it have ruffles on it?"
"Just for decoration. I can't believe you took Hazel out of the house dressed like that. I'm kind of embarrassed to be in public right now."
Todd wasn't. And Hazel wasn't. So we stayed and played and I got over my mortification by laughing at how funny Hazel looked running around in those things. But I may have to lay out clothes for Hazel the next time I expect Todd to get her dressed.

At least she matched. I came back from the gym yesterday to find Jack had put Fiona in a pink striped (horizontally) shirt with red and white striped (vertically) shorts. I said "Does that match?" and he said "yes". I said that only he and Fiona thought so. At least she was dressed and happy. I would have settled for just happy. So now I have to make a shirt that says "My daddy dressed me and did my hair" for those days when Jack dresses them. I'm really going to make it, too. :)
Hee hee! Maybe we should cut Todd a little slack though. I've seen lots of ladies in jeggings and tee shirts around town lately-- which looks remarkably like what Hazel's got going on here (although Hazel looks MUCH better). I always want to pull those women aside and quietly let them know that leggings=tights, NOT pants.
Speaking of which, did you ever see Conan's jeggings bit? Hilarious.
And thus Hazel's dream of being Peter Pan comes true....
oh wait....
By the way, I snorted really loud & long through my nose when I read this post. We sure love you guys! Ha!
kris and i got a kick out of this.
Baaaaah! So funny. Guys have no idea how to dress children. If you want it done right you have to lay it out yourself.
