What makes Hazel's carseat so much more conducive to naps than her crib is? I swear, she hardly ever sleeps for longer than 30 minutes during the day, unless she's in the carseat. So far, Hazel's been asleep in that thing for two hours, and she's not made a peep yet. What the heck? Should I go on "errands" every time she needs a nap? Would that give me a chance to take a shower and dress without her waking up?

Both my kids loved to sleep in their carseats during the day, so I'd let them. Its a stage and it won't last forever so if its working keep it going and use it to get whatever you need done. Just try to get her used to her crib at night (try to make it similar to the carseat roll blankets next to her so she stays snug, plus a tight swaddle). Plus, sleeping in her carseat will come in handy with your trip to Italy :)
that worked for me...we'd go walking in the stroller, and i'd take her into her room in the carrier and she'd keep sleeping so i was able to shower :)
TAKE ADVANTAGE. Is that even a question? :P
That was totally Truman! He preferred sleeping sitting up to the point that I put him to sleep in his swing until he was about four months old. Do whatever works, that's what I say!
I think babies like carseats because it's nice and snug. Macey slept in hers all the time for naps and I would always plan my errands to overlap with naptime so I could shop in peace.
I really want Molly to sleep in her crib, but she likes her car seat too. It is funny when she is in my car she falls asleep better than in Nicks.
Angie I miss you. How long is/was your vacation with Todd?
if you're still on leave with todd then by all means I will get by without you of course
Once Gracie decided her carseat wasn't so bad that's exactly what she would do. I think they must like the snugness of it.
