Before and After
We picked up the new brace today, and I can already tell it's going to be a million times better than the last one. I didn't take any pictures of Hazel wearing the first brace - I was too distraught to think of that, what with a screaming, starving, insomniac in my arms 24/7. But I did snap one of the brace on its own after I stopped subjecting my child to its torture. Here it is:
And we've only got 20 minutes of experience in the new brace to report on, but so far it's good news. Right after I put it on Hazel, she was smiling and "talking" to me, and she hasn't acted like it's bothering her yet. I'm feeling positive about it. It's really lightweight and easy to put on and take off. And, unlike the first brace, Hazel can still fit into all her footie pjs, her bunting, her blanket sleepers, her carseat. . . I'm feeling good!

keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Wow, that first brace is really cute! Don't throw it away, put it in a baby box somewhere ;)
That 2nd brace is a world apart from the first one. I hope it does the job so that Hazel doesn't have to deal with this when she's old enough to remember it! (are you planning on putting her in ballet to keep on strengthening her feet when she's 3?)
Yay! I hope this does the trick this time. :)
SO much better! The first one looks like a torture device! I think the new one is so cute...hard to imagine someone that little in one.
yippee!!
Yeah, Angie. That is MUCH better than the first one! I'm glad she's responding in such a positive way -- and you are, too. :) More power to you both! Love your guts!
